Responsible for creating a comprehensive estimate of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims leading to the proper disposition. This role is utilized as a peer mentor having mastered our processes and obtained technical expertise.

The ideal candidate will be based in The Greater St, Louis, MO area and will be assessing vehicles in the field! Job Summary:

Responsible for creating or auditing a comprehensive estimate of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims in either the auto or specialty lines leading to the proper disposition. Responsible for training, mentoring, controlling quality and providing technical assistance on material damage claims.

Key Responsibilities:

· Possesses strong estimating fundamentals in order to create or audit estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities.

· Possesses a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company.

· Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files across multiple lines.

· Evaluates settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices; makes decisions on best option.

· Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job does not have supervisory duties.

Below are the preferred qualifications for the Field Adjuster position.

Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

· 2 or more years of related experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

· Ability to obtain and maintain adjuster licenses as required.

Functional Skills

· Possess knowledge of estimatics software (Mitchell/CCC/Audatex, etc.)

· Advanced interpersonal skills

· Ability to operate electronic devices including computers, cameras, and cell phones.

· Advanced verbal and written communication skills

· Strong skills in time management, organization, and the ability to work under pressure,

· Ability to adhere to project deadlines and remain flexible in a changing environment.

Pay Transparency:

National General prides itself on offering our employees a robust Total Rewards package which includes base salary. The base range offered for the role is: $58,000- $86,000 and may vary based on internal equity, and job-related skills, knowledge, and experience; among other factors. Other financial components may be added as part of the competitive compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $30 – 42 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
