Crochet Stitches
So, what makes a crochet pattern easy? I hear this questions a lot. For any pattern to be considered an easy crochet project for beginners, it needs to take advantage of simple stitches.
When you are a beginner crocheter, the more you practice basic crochet stitches, the better you get!
That goes for most anything you are just learning! So, practice, practice, practice. Practice makes perfect, and the best way to practice is by using all the crochet tutorials for beginners you can find.
Most beginner patterns will use only basic stitches such as the chain stitch, single crochet stitches, half double crochet stitches, or double crochet stitches in it or a combination of those three crochet stitches.

When you first start crocheting, there may be some crochet tools and supplies you require. First, you will need some hooks and yarn.
As for the type of yarn to get: pick a medium weight yarn (aka worsted weight yarn) first. It is big enough to crochet up fast, but not so bulky that it is difficult to handle.

Crochet Hook
There are also a good amount of crochet hook brands that you can pick from, and my best advice is to just try a few to see which you like best. My favorite is Tulip Etimo brand, but Boye and Susan Bates work just fine as well.
Moreover, be sure to get a set with the correct hook size for the yarn you are using. Each pattern will suggest a hook size, but it is also suggested on the label of the yarn skein as well.
Once you have your yarn and crochet hook, you are ready to get started with finding easy things to crochet for beginners!
