Anyone who has some know-how of the hair extensions world has probably heard of Luxy Hair. They are a popular hair company that supplies hair extensions all over the world. However, the hair extensions aren’t the only reason behind their popularity.

They became popular some time ago thanks to their YouTube channel which now has more than a million subscribers. The main attraction of their YouTube channel was the hairstyle tutorials the company would post.

With time though, they made a name for themselves on the basis of their hair extensions as well.

So, like you, I have also heard a lot about Luxy Hair, and so I decided to give them a try and judge for myself how well deserved their popularity in the hair extensions world is. This is my general review of the company where I will be talking about the basic features offered by Luxy Hair such as the website, customer service, shipping, return policies, and customer service. I will also be sharing my reviews of their products in a separate review.

I am a hairdresser based in Ottawa, Canada. I have been in this line of work since childhood as my mother is also a hairdresser. As a result, I have seen more than my fair share of hair extensions in my life. As I am also a certified hair extension technician, I have installed hair extensions for a lot of people over the past decade. On top of that, I use hair extensions personally too.

So, needless to say, I know quite a lot about hair extensions. I know not just about the different brands and hair extensions companies but also about the different types of hair extensions available in the market such as clip in hair extensions, sew in extensions, tape in extensions etc.

I have reviewed several hair companies and you might have heard me mention Luxy Hair often. That’s how popular the company is. So, now, I decided that it was time to give the real scoop on Luxy Hair. A completely unbiased and objective review since my only objective behind sharing these brand and product reviews is to make my readers aware of the many choices available to them in the market and how to find the one that is the most suitable for them.

About Luxy Hair

Okay, so the name of the company is pretty self-explanatory. They are a hair company. They are based in the US, but they do offer international shipping. They have been in business for quite some time now and over the years they have made a big name for themselves as one of the more popular hair extensions choices for people all over the world. They offer a good balance between affordability and quality.

As I have already mentioned, they started off as a YouTube channel which has a huge fan following, mainly because of the popularity of their various hairstyle tutorial videos. Soon enough, they branched out into the e-commerce world too and started selling hair extensions. In particular, they offer clip in hair extensions.

Website

A good and easy to use website which has been designed keeping in mind functionality and practicality often forms the cornerstone for any successful e-commerce enterprise. Luxy Hair seems to share this sentiment as I observed that they have a beautifully designed website. It has a minimalist design in the sense that everything is neatly sorted into pages and sections. On top of this, there isn’t too much going on the website so that you can go about browsing for your desired products easily without being bombarded with pop up ads and notifications.

Now, as far as the graphics on the website are concerned, there is a large number of high quality and high-resolution images available on the website of the many products Luxy Hair has on offer. These images come with thorough descriptions of all the products so that there is no ambiguity in the minds of any potential customer. Kudos to Luxy Hair for that!

Besides this, Luxy Hair’s website also features several videos. These are videos from reviewers, tutorials, product descriptions, and other promotional content. So, in short, all the information you might need about the products and the company is available on the website in one format or another.

Finally, the website is responsive, smooth and secure. I was easily able to navigate through the website without being bothered by long waiting times for the pages or images to load etc. The company states on the website, and I also observed myself, that the website is secure. This is always a big pro in my opinion, as far as e-commerce websites are concerned. One should always take special care while inputting sensitive personal or financial information on any website as there is always a risk for scams and frauds.

Online Luxy Hair Reviews

Like I have already mentioned a couple of times before, Luxy Hair is a fairly well-known hair extensions company, so it is no surprise that I found plenty of brand and product reviews for them online. A quick search on Google was all it took to come across the reviews and opinions shared by different bloggers and YouTubers. However, I think many of those Luxy Hair reviews have been sponsored by the company themselves. You might be wondering what makes me say that.

Well, for starters I noticed that some of these reviews only talked about the good parts. Call me skeptical, but I find it hard to believe that there is any hair company, or any company for that matter, which is perfect. There have to be some drawbacks. And the fact that I found next to no mention of any drawbacks of Luxy Hair made me think that the reviews weren’t 100% objective. On top of this, I noticed that many of these reviewers seemed to be giving exclusive discount vouchers that their readers could redeem on Luxy Hair’s products.

This, obviously means that those reviewers are affiliates and get some incentive for every sale Luxy Hair makes after people read those reviews. Sometimes, these vouchers even have the name of the Blogger or YouTuber in it!

Seeing this, I was once again reminded of why I had first embarked on this journey of writing and sharing product and brand reviews for hair extensions. The purpose was to inform the readers only, without any financial incentive from the company. So, you can be sure that my review of Luxy Hair and all the other companies and products are 100% my unbiased opinions and I don’t hesitate to highlight both the positive and the negative parts of my experiences.

This does not mean that I only found positive Luxy Hair reviews. I saw several negative Luxy Hair reviews as well, but these were much less in number compared to the positive ones. Some of these were so extreme that I almost second guessed my decision to purchase any products from this hair company. I have included the screenshots of some such reviews below so that you get a better idea of what I am talking about.

However, I later decided to go ahead with the purchase since every company has its share of positive and negative reviews, and Luxy Hair was no different. Especially on Facebook, where I believe the reviews are the most credible. So, seeing the discrepancy in Luxy Hair reviews, I decided to not let those influence my decision to purchase from Luxy Hair. I wanted to form my opinions on the basis of my personal experiences only.

As a quick reminder, I believe that reviews posted on TrustPilot aren’t the most credible out there. I feel Facebook reviews (where you can see the profile behind the reviewer) and Google reviews (it’s hard to post fake Google reviews) are the most trustworthy ones.

Luxy Hair had good Google reviews and good Facebook reviews.

So overall, Luxy Hair is getting good customers reviews. Despite seemingly sponsoring a few reviews found on blogs and YouTube videos, they are actively getting real positive customer feedback.

Product Range

Okay so when it comes to product range offered by Luxy Hair, there are some good parts and some not so good ones. The hair company offers only one type of hair extensions, namely clip in extensions. No other type. So, if you are a fan of the semi-permanent hair extensions, Luxy Hair is not the company for you. It would be better to look elsewhere. For example, their competitors in the USA such as Bellami Hair and Glam Seamless offer different types of hair extensions. And in Canada, their competitors Canada Hair and Bombay Hair offer virtually all types of hair extensions. The good part though is that the company offers a lot of choice in terms of colors and thickness of the clip in hair extensions.

Considering how popular the company is and the sheer number of positive reviews, I really find it hard to understand why they have such a limited product range. They could really benefit greatly from a more diverse product range. Hopefully, that’s on the company’s agenda for the future. But for now, clip in hair extensions are all they offer. I personally prefer clip in extensions too, so I didn’t have many complains about this though.

Pricing Information

As far as price is concerned, Luxy Hair can be ranked among the average hair extension companies. The prices were definitely not the cheapest you can find online, but they were fairly consistent with the prices I had seen on other e-commerce hair extension websites. In short, you get a good value for your money. I found the clip in extensions by Luxy Hair to be fairly affordable and reasonably priced. At the end of the day, you do get good value for your money.

My purchase

I purchased chocolate Brown #4 clip in hair extensions from Luxy Hair. They only had the one standard length i.e. 20 inches. For weight, I went with their thinnest extensions that weigh 120 grams.

All seemed well with Luxy Hair till now, but shipping does not seem to be the company’s strong points. In my case, they performed rather below average in this regard.

For starters, the shipping took really long. I had to wait for nearly two weeks after placing my order before I received the package. And even then, the package was damaged and had obviously been tampered with. Maybe the shipping took so long because Luxy Hair is an American company and that’s where they ship from. However, even then, 2 weeks seems a bit long to me.

Apart from this, I didn’t appreciate the fact that I had to pay additional duty fees of $20. I mean, I understand that as I am based in Canada and duty fees are a part and parcel for international shipping, but my complaint is that the additional shipping charges were not mentioned on the checkout page. The website advertises free shipping, but I found out the hard way that the free shipping only applies if you are based in the USA. Otherwise, you have to pay the shipping. This fee has to be shown on the checkout page! I feel it is really dishonest not to do so. If I knew I would have to pay an extra $20 at the post office just to get my order, I might not have purchased from Luxy Hair. After all, I thought shipping was free as advertised on their website. That came as a surprise to me, and I was really upset with being charged an extra on my order without being notified beforehand. I have purchased many times from US retailers such as Nordstrom and Beautylish.com, and each time, the extra shipping charges were mentioned on the checkout page. I even purchased from Bellami Hair and wasn’t charged any duty fees. But this was not the case with Luxy Hair.

I read other negative Luxy Hair reviews in this regard. Luxy Hair should be clearer about any fees and charges. Merely writing it on one of their pages on the website is not enough. They can detect your IP address since their prices automatically were converted into Canadian dollars when I made a purchase since I am from Canada, and they also advertise heavily to Canadians, so why not show a notice as well that informs customers outside of the USA that they will incur an additional charge once they receive their order?

However, I’d like to point out that I’ve seen way worse. Although I wasn’t happy with Luxy Hair surprising me with hidden fees, one of their competitor did way worse. I’m talking about Glam Seamless. They’ve billed me a 50% duty fee (whereas Luxy Hair was roughly 10%) and they didn’t even mention that their prices were listed in USD. Yet, that didn’t prevent them from soliciting Canadian customers while on the same time hiding crucial information. I’ve ended up paying twice for my hair extensions when I purchased from Glam Seamless. Whereas with Luxy Hair, the duty fee was a lot less. Regardless, it’s still dishonest and bad business practice to not inform customers that they solicit through advertisem*nts that they will incur hidden fees!

Customer service

Good customer service is a must for me when it comes to e-commerce companies!

I cannot stress how important this is. Not all companies are perfect. Mistakes happen. I’m pretty sure Luxy Hair made mistakes too. That’s not the end of the world and stuff like this happen. Actually, it will happen with all companies. Therefore, I highly recommend you to buy only from companies that offer great customer service. If they don’t, stay away.

For example, Bombay Hair offers phone support. That’s wonderful. But on the other hand, Hair Extension Sale offers the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. Literally!

Luxy Hair scored high in this department. I received my package from them very late, after waiting for two weeks! And even then, the product wasn’t delivered in the condition I had expected it to be in. The box was all damaged and had bumps on it. Initially, I thought that the shipping had been rough, and I hoped that the damage was only on the box. However, that was when I noticed that the security seal on the box had been removed already. This meant that even if I wanted, I couldn’t return the package if it wasn’t in line with my requirements or expectations since that is a part of their return policy and conditions.

When I opened the package, the extensions seemed to be in good condition and the color test showed that I had received the correct shade of extensions. So, I didn’t need to return the package, but the broken security seal was still bothering me. It seemed like the extensions had already been used and that is extremely unhygienic and unacceptable for me.

Therefore, I sent an email to the company and I found them to be actually very helpful and receptive. I received a reply to my email within a couple of hours only. This is way above average as per e-commerce standards which can take at least a day to respond to emails. All of my future correspondence with Luxy Hair was also through email and each time the company replied just as efficiently.

Keep in mind that Luxy Hair doesn’t offer phone support. Although that’s always a negative thing, it wasn’t that bad with Luxy Hair. The communication was quick and the representative would go in great details in her replies. I don’t think I would have called their customer support department taking into account how quick they were with their replies.

Luxy Hair email:

I informed the customer service representative about the broken security seal and they offered me a partial refund of $30. That’s almost 25% of my total order amount. So, although I had a rocky start with Luxy Hair, I was really satisfied with how attentive the customer service is. As someone who has purchased hair extensions from many retailers, I can confidently say that Luxy Hair offers the best customer service. Contrary to other hair extensions retailers, Luxy Hair looks like they genuinely care about you. My email interactions with them were excellent and the representatives responding to the emails were helpful and really attentive.

Luxy Hair is rather stingy with discounts and promotions. After I had decided to try them out, it took me a long time to finally get around making a purchase because Luxy Hair isn’t generous at all with coupons. I barely got $5 off and that too only after browsing just about everywhere on the internet. However, you can find voucher codes from affiliates who share the details of such vouchers in their blog or video reviews.

Return Policy

Luxy Hair has a reasonable return policy. If you find that the products you received aren’t up to the mark or don’t match your requirements, then you can get in touch with the company and request a refund. The return policy is applicable to a 60-day period. This was rather generous of Luxy Hair, as most companies only let you return the products within 3 days. Besides this, Luxy Hair only allows you to return the products if the extensions are unused and the security seal on the package is not broken.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians

No, I am not talking about the show. I merely meant that if you use hair extensions from Luxy Hair, you will be taking a leaf out of Kim Kardashian’s book. According to an Instagram post by Kim’s hairstyle, Kim Kardashian used Luxy Hair’s clip in extensions on one occasion at least.

I am assuming that Kim got exactly the same hair extension quality an average customer would receive after buying from Luxy Hair, and then this is really impressive! After Bellami Hair worked with Kylie Jenner, it is interesting to see a competitor company respond by working with Kim Kardashian.

Luxy Hair extensions vs Bellami Hair extensions

Honestly, I find that both companies offer a similar hair quality. There wasn’t that much of a difference. But it seems that Luxy Hair quality was a bit better, and considerably less expensive! If you’re hesitating between Luxy Hair extensions and Bellami Hair extensions, I’d go with Luxy Hair. Here’s why:

Luxy Hair customer service was by far the best I’ve ever experienced. They truly made me feel as if I was buying a Lamborghini! I can assure you this company will never ignore any of your complaints. The customer service offered by Luxy Hair is far superior to Bellami Hair.
Luxy Hair quality isn’t the best, it was quite average. But so was Bellami Hair! However, Luxy Hair is a lot less expensive than Bellami Hair.

Final verdict –Luxy Hair Reviews

Alright, so this was my general review of the company Luxy Hair. Overall, they did quite well. There were, of course, some places were things could have been a little better, but I was quite happy with my experience with Luxy Hair. Their superior customer service surely was the best part about my entire experience with the company.

Now, what was my experience with a Luxy Hair clip in extensions? Was the quality good? Is it worth the money? Overall, the answer is yes. The hair extensions are of satisfactory quality, the price is somewhat of a good deal especially if you are in the US and don’t have to pay the additional duty fees. Overall, I think it’s a reasonable hair quality for most of the women, and since these are a clip in extensions that are meant to be removed on a daily basis, the quality doesn’t necessarily need to be better or more expensive than the one offered by Luxy Hair. True, the hair quality is not the best quality available in the market, but for the price you are paying, its overall excellent value.

The extensions did not feel like actual human hair. Perhaps it’s a mix of Remy Hair and Synthetic, perhaps Luxy is being sold synthetic hair from one of their distributors without knowledge, but these are NOT 100% human hair.

I could visibly see the ends of several strands of hair with little, rounded-off, almost burnt ends… not something you see on your own hair, even with styling products.

The only plus with this experience is that customer service was fast and efficient in replying and granting me a full refund.

I just got my hair extensions and the first time I put them in I discovered that three clips were already worn out. I reached out to them, and they are sending me new clips, but I find it terrible that that is how they arrived in the first place. Maybe that has something to do with the quality control.

They need shorter extensions instead of promoting getting them cut by a professional. After ordering, most stylists with hair extension experience refused to cut hair that wasn’t ordered through them. The one stylist I found butchered my $200 extensions. Absolutely no sympathy from the company, why force customers to make that choice by selling only 20″ extensions then advising the ones with short hair get them cut.

I decided to try something different and go with 160g of Luxy hair this time. The top of the extensions are full but the ends are very very thin. It does not seem like 160 grams of hair at all. horrible quality. Comparable to the synthetic extensions you get at the kiosk in the mall. They will probably delete this like they have every other review that is not good. Their customer service is good in terms of getting back to you, but trying to find a solution to the extensions i bought that were quite expensive, and definitely do not reflect that is quite hard. It is annoying because there were no duties first time i ordered and now when they send me a new pair not only does it take forever and i needed it for certain event, but now i need to pay an absurd amount in duties. Had they been the quality the company says they are, this would never have happened. All i wanted was to send back the extensions and get a refund for what i paid. But obviously they did not let that happen. Extremely disappointed because i did want to support this Toronto based company, but they did not meet my expectations. Also, i am speaking as someone with relatively thick hair, so i do not think their extensions cater to all hair types.

This is my first time buying Luxy hair and i was so excited when i received the package because it was long, soft and so pretty looking! It stayed this way for about 1 week until i washed them (since i wear them often). After i washed them the hair broke down. It was shedding, dry to the touch, and didn’t blend in with my hair. Instead, it sits on the top of my short hair so when i move my head my shorter pieces show. For the money it’s worth i really expected better quality… disappointed.

I was very disappointed in the service I received from Luxy Hair. I ordered hair extensions and was charged a foreign transaction fee. They refused to change my form of payment and were unwilling to help. I unfortunately could not return the extensions as the box I received had the seal broken when I opened the package. Like many other I was duped by all the good review on trust pilot…until I did some research and found dozens of companies that see you fake trust pilot reviews…but it was too late. I was very happy to receive these hair extentions as a christmas gift i only got to wear them for about a month until i realized that they were giving me two huge bald spots the back of my head. When i reached out to Luxy hair they told me that it wasn’t the extentions causing this and to visit a doctor, so i did and the doctor confirmed that it was because of the extentions. After emailing them requesting a refund they refused because i already opened them. Luxy Hair doesn’t even have a phone number so i could talk to a live person. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! Very long review but worth reading if you want to save your money. I have wanted Luxy hair extensions for almost 4 years now. I had very high hopes for the extensions. unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the quality and the service. I ordered the Off black 120g set. Although the color was a good match, the hair felt very fake. It did not blend with my hair at all. I followed the directions and washed the hair but nothing seemed to work. I did a lot of research before purchasing the product. I even reached out to the associates so they could help me find my perfect match. The set they recommended ended up not making my hair look thick at all. I then reached out and told them that my hair is still looking thin. I was advised to purchase another weft. This was extremely disappointing because I spent so much money to buy the perfect set only to be told to spend more to get the ideal look.
My Luxy hair does not curl, frizzes up, gets very straight and stiff, and honestly was a huge waste of money and hope.
I love curling my hair but these extensions don’t even curl no matter what I do! My natural hair ends up curly and the extensions are just straight. It looks very tacky!
It also weights down my hair and makes it very flat.

I have not even had the extensions for more than 2 months but the hair is already falling out of the wefts and the ends of my extensions are damaged. This is too soon!
I was looking forward to making these my go to extensions with a new set every 6-12 months but I will continue looking elsewhere.

I got the 220g and I’m extremely disappointed! The color matches perfectly and the hair on the top is full but towards the bottle it is SO THIN. A huge difference from the top to the bottom. I’ve never been so disappointed with a set of hair extensions. I seriously cried when I clipped everything in because I knew I could not return or exchange the product. I got the new 16inch length and the hair is so thin at the bottom and it doesn’t blend well at all. The customer service said there would be a lot more hair since it was 140g with the clips than I’ve had in the past. I’ve had extensions that were 70g without clips and they were so much easier to blend with my midlength hair and seemed a lot more full. I guess I’m the only person who doesn’t like this hair , I bought the platinum, it was super yellow and looked like cheap synthetic hair . The area around the clips were tangled and the ends were thin . I washed it with some purple shampoo which did lighten it , and cut the ends , but it still looks super shiny and fake . It looks like I have a cheap Halloween wig on my head . I have purchased 3 different extension sets from different companies and all were better quality . I wanted to love my Luxy extensions. I purchased them to wear for my wedding and wedding festivities, but they have been basically unwearable. I researched for weeks to find the “right” brand and had been so excited to receive my set.

The length, in theory, is great – but the extensions are thin and wispy and look so unnatural that I have to borrow a friend’s old set of another brand of extensions to get through my wedding as I cannot wear these. It’s like they ran out of hair while making them but figured no one would notice – there’s nothing to them, which makes them impossible to blend.

I am extremely disappointed. The extensions are beautiful, but now that I see them next to another brand of extensions it’s clear how unsatisfactory they are. I wouldn’t recommend these unless you have hair the exact same length as your extensions.

I had high hopes for these extensions. It was the first time I ordered them. I paid $355 cad for the supposedly thick 220 gram chestnut ombre set. How disappointing! Number one they are SO THIN. I’ve paid way less for Zala extensions and theirs are super thick. Number two they get so thin and stringy at the bottom I had to have 3 inches cut off of them right away just to help them look more full. I don’t find they blend well at all. My hair isn’t even thick and yet I would need two sets of these to get the correct fullness. The color is nice and the clips are really strong and that’s the only positives I can say about these. Will not be purchasing again

I alreay left a review but I feel that I need to share my experience with more girls.
When I bought these I liked them. They were kind of thin for the price and I had to buy the volume weft (NOT worth the price) but they were really soft and the color was really beautiful. For 450$ I expected these to last me at least a year. I’ve been using extensions for 8 years as well as I am a hair stylist. I use top of the line products on them, rarely wash them, I only curl them once a week. I let the conditioner sit over night I always use leave in conditioner and hair oil…. Yet they are still a dry brittle matted mess! I’ve had to trim them 3 times already so the 20 inch extensions I wanted within a couple months have become 16 inches. Even my husband always comments on how awful they look and tells me to get my money back. I would not recommend them atall. They start off great but quickly deteriorate and for paying the most I’ve ever paid for clips that should not be happening.

This is my first time purchasing extensions and I got the Halo in Ashe Blonde. Fortunately for me I gave golden in my hair and it is a perfect match. The hair feels soft but I really don’t know how the hair is Supposed to feel, so I can’t judge the quality accurately. It is 20 inches and long, and my hair is thin and right past my shoulders. I will be taking it to a salon today to properly fit it for me, blend the layers and take some length off which they quoted me $55, keep in mind. My husband LOVED the look of the hair on me, right out of the box and I could tell that this could result in some steamy interactions! Ha!

Only complaint is that I bought the carrier and the hanger is defective with no tension. I contacted them to resolve and am waiting for a response.

I ordered dark brown seamless hair. I was so eager when I received my package that I pealed off one side of the stickers in box before opening. Dark brown seamless IS NOT DARK BROWN. My natural hair color is dark brown. Luxy “dark Brown” is more of a chestnut, medium reddish brown. Now I’m stuck with auburn brownish hair that does not match my natural DARK BROWN HAIR that cost $220 and I have to find a colorist to dye this hair which will end up drying out these extensions in the long run. Lucy customer service recommends to have it dyed and there’s nothing else they can do. Be aware that these “pictures” are deceiving in the color hair you receive. I hope this review doesn’t come down bc it’s odd to me that there are NO negative reviews about this hair.

There is so much hair! They are thick all the way through. They’re so soft and just amazing! If you have thin short hair like I do you may have to take them to get thinned out like I did.

i wanted some extensions and i watched the video where it said 160 was the least amount they sold but somehow i ended up with 120 grams of hair without noticing and it’s awful! it doesn’t blend into my hair at all. it’s extremely thin and for the money i paid for i don’t want thin extensions. i also opened the box so now it’s completely ruined it return. i’m so disappointed in the false advertising when i wanted the 160 grams and ended up with 120. bad brand move and i will never purchase from here again.

I contacted customer service through chat to help color match me. The women I spoke to was so helpful & nice. I explained I wanted the halo extensions & sent pictures of my hair. I love the product itself. Although the quality could be a lot better. I have been a customer from 2011 when I ordered my first luxy full hair set. I currently own 3. There has definitely been a reduction in quality and value comparatively ever since. The set I received now has lower quality when it comes to hair texture and the metal quality of the grip on clips. The clips pull onto my hair as compared to my old set. Additionally, I feel that the hair tend to get easily tangled and give an un-neat look after wearing the extensions for over a couple hours. However, I would say these extensions are still better than others I have seen in the market. Nevertheless, customer service is good, always happy to help!

I purchased the 16inch extensions in the Off Black colour. After receiving the extensions I was pleased with the colour as well with the length. Though after washing the hair for the first time that’s when I first noticed issues. I noticed some black hair dye being rinsed off when shampooing the extensions as well as some serious matting. I’ve worn clip in extensions from other brands in the past and i’ve never had really bad matting like the Luxy’s. I had to continuously brush my hair every half hour throughout the day as the matting was very obvious. I did continuously deep condition the hair and they kept on matting. After emailing the customer service they offered me a 20$ credit back or 30$ off towards my next set of Luxy’s which I did not respond to as I felt like 20$ credit back towards unusable extensions did not cover the cost of the set of matted clip ins and 30$ off a new set was not worth it at all. I won’t be purchasing a new set of extensions from Luxy in the future.

Though they do have fast customer service, so there’s that.

I have been purchasing hair for years and when I read the reviews I figured I would try the Luxy clip in hair extensions.
The 1st time I purchased I was happy, the 2nd and most recent purchase was very disappointing. The hair was broken off all over and I was literally horrified. I was told that single drawn hair had some shorter hairs mixed in but this looked like dye was left on too long and most of the hair broke off. Expensive mistake for me as Luxy told me it is what it is. I would imagine that some batches of hair are just really bad and they pawn it off knowing that once you open the package there is no going back. Well I won’t be going back to Luxy. I did receive a $30 credit for the “problem” but I won’t be using the hair – I just love throwing a few hundred dollars in the trash. Hit or Miss.

First off…while I do love the quality of their hair extensions I do not however love the quality of their customer service! My third set of extensions was a horrible experience…I realized I ordered the wrong colour and contacted Luxy to cancel the order…they couldn’t in fact do so as they had already shipped supposedly! I was instructed to “refuse parcel soon delivery at my door’ which I did! Now they claim they still haven’t gotten them and it’s been 2 weeks! I have no way to prove this as the postal man didn’t give me anything to check on the parcel….Luxy was aware of all of this and still claim they “haven’t yet received it” post office can’t tell me anything and Luxy isn’t cooperative! I now have a paypal dispute opened…they claimed if I “closed the case” they would refund me but they couldn’t indeed do so unless I closed the case! Was told by PayPal to “not close the case” because they could then be done with me and I wouldn’t be able to reopen the case! You tell me If that sounds like a scam!? Or customer satisfaction? I will stick with bellime! Which is less and the hair quality is amazing plus they have amazing customer service!

I bought extensions for fun for £150 after you tube advertising. I’m from uk and had no idea they didn’t inform me about custom charges. They made me pay 30% of purchase price as custom. I am raging. I will never fall for any such trap from you tube or fake cosmetic company.

Posting reviews, the very thing I count upon, when deciding to make a purchase, you’d imagine, would be something that I’d prioritize, but I’m embarrassed to admit, I do not. Lets just say, that if everything’s great with the product,, it’s actually a much simpler process….5 stars, a couple of smiley face emoji’s and bam…done. But, what about when the whole process has been a nightmare? Well, if you’re anything like me, you’re exhausted by the end and though outraged, you’ve had enough complaining and explaining the same issues and concerns, over and over, with the company, especially, as it was my experience with Luxy, I may have well have been talking to the wall!
The website, as mentioned, is simple and easy to navigate, but I’d imagine, they paid an excellent designer to create, so that wasn’t their own work; It was outsourced. I to wonder, though, for a brand that’s all about beauty and one that truly requires client consultation, a chat option would really like a smart thing to have integrated into the website!
This brings me to my next issue, their lack of service. I put my order through, a $130 order, but upon a bit of consideration, decided that I needed another of the same. (this was done the same day and within the same).After, that week, I added a Halo because I had been seeing so much hype about the simplicity in the way it adds volume to hair. This was actually, the first to arrive, over a week later, though not horrible, not good, either!
Which, then brings me to my next issue…..WHERE THE HECK WERE MY 2 PACKAGES OF TAPE INS ORDERED WELL OVER A WEEK PRIOR TO THAT?!? It wasn’t until then that I was made aware that there, even was an issue with the 2 orders. I went to the website and into my account order tracking info, to find that my order hadn’t yet been processed! The money was taken from my account 2 weeks prior, so I knew that wasn’t the issue…NOW I was pissed! I immediately emailed the company, and then started searching back through my emails and found, one, only a single email, saying that they needed to see a picture of my credit card and/or my bank acct statement, showing proof of the sales. I never received these emails and nobody even thought to wonder why, after a week +, I hadn’t gotten back to them. What really upset me was the fact that, not only did they have all of my acct info, including my phone number, they used it, on a daily basis, to send advertisem*nts to me. I sent them the requested pictures, but even after that, It took forever to get them. In the end, I must have sent them a dozen emails, within the month of waiting for my orders to finally arrive! They returned a few of my emails, but they were impersonal, to the point that I suspect they were automated.
As to the hair itself, I do have to wonder why, even now, I’m still hearing here that they only offer clips. This isn’t the truth. They carry clip ins, tape ins, halos, pony tails, weave ins, and weft bundles. Upsettingly, although they claim to only carry double drawn, real remy human hair, “AAAA Quality” The halo was 100% FAKE and when I asked about it, they admitted to them being Keratin and went on to explain to me that they would become tangled easier, couldn’t be colored and shouldn’t be worn as much as the real remy hair since they don’t last as long, Well, here’s the thing, I just did some research on keratin hair extension and, supposedly, they actually stand up much better than remy hair, and last much longer. My question is, are their keratin hair halos really keratin or just synthetic because the description given by Zala is nothing like that I found in my research. I will never wear them, but since I had never bought anything from them before, I wasn’t aware that if you broke the little black plastic ring around the top, it couldn’t be returned, regardless of whether you’d worn them or altered them in any way. Now I’m stuck with this ridiculously fake looking thing.
I will leave this on one positive note. The quality of the tape ins ( though, unlike ALL others, didn’t include extra tape tabs) are excellent quality!
