I’m Janet Pippin and I’m the crochet designer behind Simply Hooked by Janet. I specialize in creating refined crochet patterns for crocheters to enjoy making either to wear, use in their home or to gift. I have been designing for 7 years and began crocheting at the age of 12. I currently have over 170 patterns published independently and with yarn companies and magazines. My favorite types of projects to make are shawls, scarves and cowls.

Pattern Description:

The Pippin Stocking crochet pattern can be made in 2 different sizes – Small and Large. It can be made using a #5 bulky weight yarn or 2 strands of a #4 worsted weight yarn held together. It is worked by making 2 separate panels first that are then seamed together leaving the top open. The faux fur cuff is then added last after the 2 panels have been seamed together. The texture of the stocking is made by crocheting into the third loop of a half double crochet stitch. This crochet stocking with its classic look will look great hanging in any home at Christmas time.
