Singletary, who was fired by the mayor af- ter the public re- lease, answered questions Friday in a live-streamed, hours-long deposition about the handling of the case. The city coun- fact-finding review is separate from an ongoing grand jury investigation into death. The video shows Prude handcuffed and naked with a spit hood over his head as an officer pushes his face against the ground, while another officer presses a knee to his back in the early morning of March 23.

The officers held him down for about two minutes until he stopped breathing. He was taken off life support a week later. ASSOCIATED PRESS BUFFALO A state-run vaccination center in Buf- falo was shut down on Sat- urday as lake-effect snow lashed parts of upstate New York, and two other inocu- lation sites on Long Island will be shuttered Sunday in anticipation of a fast-mov- ing storm hitting the New York City region. A foot or more of snow was expected in parts of western New York and about half that much was expected in some areas of northern New York. Driv- ers in the Buffalo area were urged to be careful as up to 2 to 3 inches of snow an hour fell and winds gusts as high as 45 mph were expected to create near-whiteout con- ditions. Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Friday that vaccine appointments scheduled for Saturday at the state-run site in Buf- falo would be rescheduled for Sunday or Monday because of the hazardous conditions.

Separately, Cuomo said Long Island vaccination sites at Stony Brook and Jones Beach will be closed Sunday as the region pre- pares for a second big storm in a week. Four to 9 inches of snow were expected Sunday in the metropoli- tan region, with the high- est snowfall totals pro- jected across eastern Long Island.
