Here are some tips for making these pizza rolls.

While the low carbohydrate crust may taste a lot like the real carb filled stuff, working with it may not be the same. Fathead dough for example, tends to be a bit more sticky to work with.

Here are some more helpful tips for you.

  1. You can make this recipe easily into a meal. I like the idea of adding fresh vegetables that have no or low carbohydrates in them. Broccoli, Cauliflower, Olives, Kale, and Peppers for example.
  2. Provolone cheese is a popular choice for pizza as is mozzarella cheese. Feel free to use an Italian blend cheeseif you want to.
  3. Don't forget to personalize your pizza rolls with seasonings. Seasonings are usually carb-free. You can find some pizza seasonings here or use Italian seasonings.

Here are some tips for rolling pizza crust dough.

  1. First of all, be sure to have your dough rolled out to about ¼" as this will be easier to roll.
  2. If the dough seems sticky you can sprinkle some keto flour or use nonstick spray.
  3. When you roll out the dough, do so on parchment paper which will make this process even easier as well.
  4. When rolling the dough up, start with the side that is furthest away from you and roll the dough towards you.

How to store pizza rolls.

In the event that you have leftover pizza rolls, you can easily wrap them up to enjoy later.
Make sure that they are wrapped in an airtight container, plastic, or foil before refrigerating or freezing them away.

How to make Low Carb Pizza Rolls.

  • The first step is to prepare the low carb pizza dough as described in the recipe directions that you are following. Have the dough at room temperature for best results in this recipe.
  • Preheat your oven to 375. Lay out a large piece of parchment paper that we will use to prepare and bake our pizza rolls on. Place another piece of parchment paper on a rimmed baking sheet such as a jelly roll sheet that we will use to bake the rolls on in the oven.
  • Roll out the pizza dough to about ¼" on your parchment paper. If the dough seems sticky you may need to sprinkle it with a light dusting of flour or spray with nonstick spray.
  • When your dough has been rolled out, layer the sliced cheese over it covering the dough as much as possible.

Step 2: add the pizza roll toppings.

  • Place the sliced meat (or vegetables if using them instead) over the the cheese slices spreading out as much as possible. Tip: avoid ½" of the edge of the dough when placing ingredients on the dough to ensure that you will be able to easily roll up the dough.
  • Lightly spread the sauce over the meat. Then sprinkle the remaining cheese (shredded/grated) over the pizza.
  • Working with the part of the dough that is furthest away from you, roll the pizza up toward you. I start by making a turn with the edges and then the center working my way towards me. I then pinch the edges and repeat the process. When the pizza is rolled up, you can slice it into ½-3/4" slices. Place the slices on the parchment paper that is on the pan.
