I am lifting HEAVY weights for the first time in my life. And it is life-changing. For all founders and CEOs out there, this is fundamental.Lifting weights 3-4 times a week.Plus meditation has changed my business. For the first time in almost 20 years of practicing law, I am taking care of myself.I spend all my time taking care of everyone else that I never take care of me.But now that I own my own business, I had the thought:wow, people depend on me.I need to make sure I am healthy and strong to be there for them. For a long time.So with the idea that I wanted to show up at VidCon (where I am speaking in 24 days), looking strong, I decided to hire a trainer.I asked around and honestly couldn't find anyone that was not crazy expensive. Then the universe decided to send someone to me. I was touring a new gym, back in April, doing a trial day and I saw a woman was crazy fit--I mean her muscles had muscles. And she walked around with her phone on a tripod, so I thought she was a creator who was filming content. So I asked her what type of content she made. She laughed and said, "no, I do not film content, that is my trainer that I am talking to. He has been my trainer for years when I was in NYC and when I moved to LA, he agreed to train me virtually."I was fascinated so I booked a session with him as I love the flexibility and now, I am 20 sessions in (as of today) and will never, NOT lift weights again.Keeping the promise to myself to show up and lift heavy weights has built my confidence. Remember, action begets the feeling. I am learning that successful people do not wait for the feeling of inspiration or confidence to get started. They get started and then the feeling follows.I am now bench pressing 40lbs and that is huge for me, who could barely do 20 lbs 6 weeks ago. What is the one thing that you do each day that helps you be successful?Comment below!--------6/2/24 Day 18/90 posting on LinkedIn.Challenge extended by Ana Juneja This is changing my life by the way, So many founders and CEOs are reaching out and it’s humblingHelp me hit:10,000 followers on LinkedIN in 2024...please give me a follow! He is so amazing, when I am doing a move, he can give the slightest adjustment and it makes it 10x harder because he knows how to train so well. I am so grateful to him as he is literally changing my life.

I have done weight training for many years, and it's amazing! But with some warnings. Don't go heavy just for heavy. There's a point where that is more damaging than helping. Proper form is FAR more important than what the actual weight is. I maxed at 260 lb. bench press, 900 lb. incline quad press, and neither helped my shoulders or my knees. Instead, work to figure out the most efficient weights/exercises to create strength and tone, which often come from slower, more moderated repetition at slightly lower weights. On the bench, I'd rather do 10 reps at 165, five times...then exhaust out at 3 reps at 225, twice. STRETCH, don't omit cardio, eat healthy protein after, HYDRATE, and only do heavy on a particular area twice a week, max. Get after it!

Excercise makes you smarter. And muscle mass is basically the biggest anti-aging organ you can have! I lost over 30 lbs in the last year from weight training + walking and it changed my life. Tanya Juneja, MD has the best workouts. Now i spend way too much time taking care of myself 🤣 but it pays off!

I asked Ang Lee’s attorney:“What does Ang need?” I’ve been the lead attorney on 22 feature films. At Disney and Skydance. I ask the question most attorneys do not ask:“What does your client need?”“Ang needs money for the technology. He doesn’t care about flying first-classor if his wife visits the set.”This was super helpful. And allows me to close deals. That let me go back to Will Smith’s team and tell them:“We cannot give Will his normal $5M* perq package,We need to reduce it by $2M becauseAng needs it for his technology.”And actors like to help their directors out.So Will had a smaller perq package on Gemini Man.Find out what the other side needs. This applies to your clients every time they come to you with a problem with a question or a deal. I ask my clients all the time, what do you need from this call?Solve their problem, each time.Comes from my training as a performance coach.Listen deeply to understand what your clients need.I ask my creator clients, what do you want to do with your YouTube channel?“Do you want to make videos forever or do you want to exit?”The answer to that question, helps me to orientate every deal and agreement for that client. If s/he wants to exit, we approach deals differently.I will introduce this client to VCs who approach me daily.*Yes, the perq numbers were changed. And yes, many attorneys, lots of those in Hollywood just want to scream and be right. My goal is to close the deal and get my client what they want, I do not need to be right.16 years in Hollywood has taught meto not have an ego. ----------Day 21/90 posting on LinkedIn.Challenge extended by Ana JunejaThis is changing my life by the way, I’ve gained almost 800 new followers in the last 18 days. $25,000 termination fee. Loan shark terms. Unable to break the contract. 50% taxes on the loans. 20% of your AdSense for getting you verified on Snap (that’s not a thing btw). Promises of creators tools and support that disappears after the first month. These are some of the terms that I encounter every single day in the creators economy.Creators call me often upset or scared because they’ve been screwed. Having been in Hollywood for 16 years, I’m shocked by the predators taking advantage of creators. This is why I left Hollywood and made it my life’s mission to protect creators. It’s slow. It’s one creator at a time. But it’s so meaningful. There are so few established Entertainment lawyers willing to do the work.Late at night, I lie awake and I miss my steady paychecks. Worried. But then I have creators who tell me sometimes in tears how grateful they are to me and that having me in their corner means the world. And by the way, those contracts that seem unbreakable? I just broke a huge one for one of my clients. It took a lot of phone calls and emails and I told the other side, let’s go. Let’s go to arbitration or court. I am not scared of you.********Day 20/90 posting on LinkedIn.Challenge extended by Ana Juneja This is changing my life by the way, I’ve gained over 700 new followers in the last 18 days. Partnership exits are messy. I’m currently helping three Creator clients exit their partnership arrangements with their partners.Thankfully, two of the partnership situations have a contract in place. The third is messy and I advised a contact months ago. Most of my clients are big creators on YouTube and as you might have guessed a lot of their partners are their best friends who they started a channel with. Or they started their own channel and brought in their best friend to help them run it. Here are the top issues that partners run into and should be incorporated into a partnership agreement or an LLC agreement:1) Would be ideal if one person owned 51% of the equity in the company. 2) Sometimes it’s just an LLC agreement so who owns the Channel? Please specify that in the partnership agreement.3) What happens in a disagreement? I would suggest a neutral third-party who comes in to break the tiebreaker.4) What is an exit look like? If one partner wants to exit the Business or the Channel, do they retain 50% of the rev share? 5) What does termination look like? What if one partner wants to dissolve the LLC?6) What does a buyout provision look like?7) Make sure there’s a non-disparagement and confidentiality provision. Things get ugly when things fall apart.8) If one partner wants to exit but remains an LLC member make sure that there is a provision that states that the remaining member will act in good faith and professionally to not endanger or get the exiting partner in trouble. 9) Make sure to have language that the remaining partner abides by FTC regulations and brand contract terms. It’s messy when the exiting partner is not there for the day-to-day running of the business or Channel.Remember SSSniperWolf and her husband who are in the middle of a messy divorce right now? They do not have a partnership agreement and her husband is claiming that he owns her Channel. He claims that it was his idea and that she didn’t actually even play the games, that he actually played the games and recorded a skirt for her to speak over. Let’s remember this Channel makes $10 million in Adsense a year. This might have been a good idea to have a partnership agreement in place….beforehand. If you are a creator (or company) and want to talk partnerships or need a contract drafted for complicated situation send me a message and I would be happy to protect you.********Day 19/90 posting on LinkedIn.Challenge extended by Ana Juneja This is changing my life by the way, So many founders and CEOs are reaching out and it’s humblingHelp me hit:10,000 followers on LinkedIN in 2024...please give me a follow! Thank you for the quote, Jim Louderback The deepfakes whether AI powered like Taylor Swift back in Jan or human powered like Alexander Wang are huge problems. I perdict the big agencies like CAA and WME plus the big talent law firm will lobby for laws to protect their celebrity clients. This will cut into their bottom line. The AI issue is what cause the long SAG strike last year so Hollywood is taking the infringement of across name, image and likeness (plus now voice as we saw with ScarJo vs OpenAI aws week), very seriously.

Rare is the brilliant mind who is also kind. Franklin Graves is that rare human. I had a chance to connect with Franklin this week but that was before he quoted me. Without my request or knowledge. If you don’t know this brilliant attorney. Reach out. I love this LinkedIn space. It snuck up on me. It’s And although I have a bigger following on YouTube and Instagram. This is my favorite platform. Read this insightful article from Franklin about the rise of the creator-investor. Follow me as I’m deep in this equity world representing my big creator clients who are receiving these offers. For the creators, always ask for cash plus equity. I also represent brands who are offering the equity to creators. Brands should try to decline creators’ request to vest immediately. Lots of VC funds who want to buy into creator channels and I’m advising them how to navigate the creator space. ———6/1/24 Day 17/90 posting on LinkedIn.Challenge extended by Ana Juneja This is changing my life by the way, So many founders and CEOs are reaching out and it’s humblingand now 5 other people have told me they are joining me in the challenge. Very cheeky. Alexander Wang. But as an attorney for big creators (in the past for big Hollywood actors): This is skirting dangerously on the CA right of publicity for Beyonce and Taylor Swift as this is for commercial gain. Courts frown on this. FYI: ScarJo won vs OpenAi this week when they tried to infringe her right of publicity. Full breakdown forthcoming.————Yes. This is my second post today. I help creators launch products as well to get to 7-figures, but we usually use a course first as a test run and we often ask the community: what product would you like to see from us?I know Prime is an example of a great launch, but it’s currently not doing well. Gen Alpha is fickle and lost interest fast. And associated lawsuits are not doing its valuation any favours. I personally love @aliabdaal for his transparency. I am super grateful to him because I took his part-time YouTube Academy to start my YouTube channel and I will always feel so much gratitude to him and his course as well as his team for helping being creators start their channels and grow.

Creators come to me with BIG problemsSee Wednesday's post so see what they are.Then....they trust me because I solved their problems, fast. Then I ask them the following questions:1. Do you have an LLC?2. Do you have general liability insurance?3. Do you have contracts for your employees and contractors?4. Have you trademarked your name and profile photo?5. If you have a partner, do you have a partnership or LLC agreement? The answers to these questions is usually alwaysNO.Scary but I rolled up my sleeves. And that is when my fractional General Counsel work starts.I also provide fractional COO services where I take creators to7-figures.1. We focus on building on their own land. 2. Capturing an email list (so important). We just need 1000 true fans, if each buys $100 worth of product, then you will have $100K per year.3. Building a paid community is so important. And can build a passive income stream fast.4. I help the creators launch a product, a course is usually the first step. Or a consumer good. 5. We curate and find 6-figure brand deals with a long-time partnership. Lots of equity deals are being offered to my clients. And lots of VCs are coming to me wanting to invest in creators. My creator law firm has exploded in the last 8 monthsbecause creators, these accidental entrepreneurs and millionairesare now becoming real businesses. And they need protection. And it's my life's mission to protect creators.---------5/31/24Day 17/90 posting on LinkedIn.This is changing my life by the way, So many founders and CEOs are reaching out and it’s humblingand now 5 other people have told me they are joining me in the challenge. The biggest mistake creators makeis not having a LLC.I have met big creators with more than 1M+ subs on YouTube who do not have an LLC.Mind-blowing.You do not need it from day one of starting your channel but as soon as you are making $500 or more from AdSenseor brand deals...then set one up.Why do you need one? To protect your personal assets. If something goes wrong and you get sued, you do not want to lose your car or house. It's easy to set up and usually costs $500-$1000.--------5/30/24Day 16/90 posting on LinkedIn.This is changing my life by the way, So many founders and CEOs are reaching out and it’s humblingand now 5 other people have told me they are joining me in the challenge.
